I cannot believe we are already into July. I mean…time is FLYING! It has been a crazy and of course amazing wedding season thus far- and it is always so emotional for me when a couples wedding day arrives. I just completed a stint of back to back wedding weekends with couples that I met and have been chatting with about their wedding for over a year now. It is such a special moment for me to get to witness something like that and even better when after is all said and done, I can call them friends.
So… without further ado, here are the latest “happenings” and such:
// With the termination of Google Reader, a couple of months ago I started the hunt for other blog readers and I stumbled upon Feedly. It is awesome. Even better than Google Reader. I can categorize each website and mark priority certain webpages I want to make sure to read. Plus it is way more pretty and full of customizations! If you do make the switch over, look me up! //
// Until late last year, I was purchasing a pack of batteries for my flashes before EVERY wedding. Not only was it annoying to have to make sure I had batteries, but it was expensive! I was spending at least $20 every wedding just on batteries! And then they would die in the middle of the reception! ugh. I had heard a lot of great things about Eneloop rechargeable batteries, and after seeing a package deal at Costco, I decided to try them out. And I am in love. These batteries are so powerful, I can usually shoot an entire reception without swapping out batteries. And when I am done, all I have to do is recharge them! I have tried other rechargeable batteries and these by far surpass any other brand I have tried. //
// Speaking of Costco…I think I have a problem. I can lose time in that store. Even if I go in for just one thing, I have to wander around just to see if there is anything new I should check out. While paroozing around the store yesterday I happened upon and soft and silky blanket for $10- yes $10! And while debating whether or not I “needed” a blanket in July, I ultimately determined that you can’t get a good blanket like this for $10 and so I should go ahead and buy it for the winter. That along with dish drying pads that were too good of a deal to pass up, new amazing skin care break throughs and all the yummy samples added up to one expensive trip. You win Costco, you win you darn awesome store! //
// I get that I may sound like a CRAZY cat woman here, but recently an important milestone was made in my life. One year of pet ownership! Now, I am not a pet person. I just am not, but when we found a little 6 week old furball near the dumpster of a restaurant last year, my heart melted and I became a cat owner. Kitty Lane has become the cutest little cat with an adorable personality. She is so fun to have around and now that I am home full time, she definitely helps keep me entertained! //
Here are a few photos of Kitty, starting with the night we found her. She hid under this truck, it’s hard to see, but if you look closely under the right tire, you will see a tiny black ball, that’s her!
